R2-DB

The Regulatory Repeat Database (R2-DB) is a database dedicated to repeated sequences identified at the binding sites of various Transcription Factors (TFs) and cofactors.

R2-DB contains two main types of repeated sequences:

Short Tracks

Short Tracks (ST) are short repeated regions, typically a few dozen base pairs long. They are strongly enriched for specific nucleotides and k-mers.

Long Tracks

Long Tracks (LT) are longer repeated regions, often spanning several hundred base pairs. They show weaker sequence bias but may still reveal important regulatory patterns.

By gathering these repeated sequence elements, R2-DB provides a useful resource for exploring the structure and composition of regulatory regions associated with TF and cofactor binding sites.
